Overview
Lake Kariba stretches 220km along the Zambia-Zimbabwe border, created by the Kariba Dam in 1958. It is one of the world's largest man-made lakes by volume. The Zambian side β quieter and less developed than Zimbabwe's β offers an authentic, uncrowded lake experience centered around the resort town of Siavonga.

By Road: Siavonga is just 200km from Lusaka β approximately 2.5 hours on a good tarred road. This makes it the most accessible wilderness escape from the capital.
