The hot air balloon over Busanga was unforgettable
We almost didn't go to Kafue because we'd never heard of it. So glad Mosi suggested it. The Busanga Plains are incredible β cheetah, lion, and thousands of lechwe. The balloon at sunrise was worth every penny. Far fewer tourists than East Africa.
Perfect weekend escape from Lusaka
I'm Zambian and I didn't realize how easy it is to get to Siavonga for a weekend. 2.5 hours from Lusaka and you're on a houseboat with incredible sunsets. Mosi helped us find an affordable houseboat for our group of 6. Will definitely do this again.
Canoe safari was the highlight of our Africa trip
We've done safaris in Kenya and Tanzania before, but canoeing past elephants on the Zambezi was something else entirely. Chiawa Camp was exceptional. Mosi's suggestion to combine Lower Zambezi with South Luangwa was perfect β two very different experiences.
8 million bats β you have to see it to believe it
We drove up from Lusaka specifically for the bat migration in November. Watching millions of bats take flight at dusk was one of the most extraordinary wildlife spectacles I've ever seen. Mosi timed our visit perfectly for peak numbers.
